School Meals
At Hope School and College, we are committed to ensuring that pupils have access to healthy, nutritious and enjoyable meals throughout the school day.
Our school meals are provided by Local Kitchen, Wigan Council’s school catering service, which offers a varied menu designed to meet the nutritional needs of children and young people.
Parents and carers can find further information about Local Kitchen and view example menus by visiting the Local Kitchen website.
Paying for School Meals
The cost of school meals for the 2026–2027 academic year will be:
- Years 3-6 £2.61
- Years 7-11 £3.20
- Years 12-14 £3.75
Payments for school meals are made using the iPayimpact online payment system. Parents and carers will be provided with a unique login code when their child starts at Hope School and College, allowing them to set up an account and manage meal payments securely online.
Packed Lunches
Pupils are welcome to bring a packed lunch from home if preferred.
We encourage families to provide healthy, balanced packed lunches and ask that items containing nuts are not included, where possible, to help keep all pupils safe.
If your child has specific dietary requirements, allergies or medical needs, please disclose these with school so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Free School Meals
Your child may be entitled to receive free school meals if you meet the eligibility criteria.
Applying is quick and straightforward, and we encourage all eligible families to submit an application. Even if your child already receives universal infant free school meals, registering may help the school access additional funding to support pupils.
