Key Stage 1

In Key Stage 1, our curriculum is implemented through the Birth to Five Matters framework, providing a nurturing, play-based and developmentally appropriate approach to learning. Children are taught in small cohorts and are supported by highly experienced staff who understand their individual needs and learning styles. Reception children spend their first year fully integrated within our Early Years Department, ensuring they receive the best possible start to their school journey in a safe, supportive and stimulating environment. As children move into Year 1 and Year 2, they transition into the Primary Department, where they continue to access a broad and engaging curriculum tailored to their needs. Classes are carefully organised, taking into account each child’s individual needs, developmental stage and friendships, helping to promote wellbeing, confidence and positive relationships while supporting every child to thrive and achieve their full potential.
